Prestwich homes are often being extended, refitted or cleared, and a midi skip handles much of that work. Our midi skip hire Prestwich service supplies 4, 5 and 6 yard skips across M25, from the village centre to Sedgley Park and Rainsough. As a Bury firm, we know the area and its roads well. Order by phone 24/7, with same day delivery often possible and next day delivery offered across the borough.
Kitchen and bathroom refits in the semis and larger homes of Prestwich usually fill a 4 or 5 yard skip, around 40 to 50 bin bags. Garden projects with soil or old paving suit the 6 yard builders skip, holding up to 65 bags. Abbey is ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified, Constructionline approved and fully insured.
Prestwich has many family homes with drives, which suit a midi skip well. It holds the waste from a refit or garage clear out, yet sits comfortably off the road with no permit. On streets without drives it takes up less room than a builders skip. You get the space you need without paying for more.

Behind Bury New Road, Prestwich is largely inter-war semis and larger Victorian and Edwardian homes stretching towards Heaton Park. These properties produce a lot of midi skip work: kitchen refits, loft clear outs before conversions, shed removals and garden projects. Long gardens near Prestwich Clough can mean plenty of green waste and soil. Most homes have drives, so the skip stays permit free. Where a skip has to go on the road, Bury Council issues the permit and we apply for it. Tell us about trees or tight access when you call.
Prestwich homeowners and builders can hire midi skips from Abbey, with Bury Council issuing permits for skips on the road.

0161 724 7252Prestwich midi skip prices depend on the size, the hire length, what you are disposing of and whether a road permit is needed. Heavy waste such as soil from long gardens suits the 6 yard builders skip. Delivery and collection are included in the hire. Call 0161 724 7252 for a quote.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Prestwich skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
Most Prestwich homes have drives, so a midi skip usually needs no permit. If it must go on the road, Bury Council issues the permit and Abbey arranges it for you. Charges vary by council, and we confirm the figure before delivery.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Prestwich, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
