Larger family homes around Kersal Moor and Bury New Road often have garages, lofts and gardens that need clearing, and that is where our midi skip hire Kersal service comes in. We deliver 4, 5 and 6 yard skips across M7 for kitchen refits, loft clear outs and garden projects. A midi gives more room than a mini but still fits on a typical drive. Order on our 24/7 lines, and we often deliver same day where we can.
In Kersal, a 4 yard midi holding around 40 bin bags suits a loft or garage clear out. A kitchen or bathroom refit usually needs the 5 yard. For a small extension, a patio or garden work with some rubble, the 6 yard builders skip holds up to 65 bags. We are a licensed waste carrier and fully insured.
Kitchen replacements, loft clear outs and garden redesigns in Kersal rarely need a maxi, but they overflow a mini, so a midi fits. The area's semis and detached homes produce exactly these mid sized projects. A 4 or 5 yard skip sits on most drives here, so you can often avoid a permit and keep the road clear for neighbours.

The Edwardian and inter-war homes near Kersal Moor and along Bury New Road are often being extended, refitted or modernised. Many have drives and garages, and jobs like clearing a garage, replacing a kitchen or remodelling a garden suit a 4 to 6 yard skip. These skips usually sit on the drive with no permit. In Lower Kersal, homes are smaller and parking is tighter, so a midi may have to stand on the street, and Salford City Council must issue a permit. Bury New Road carries buses, so placement nearby needs thought. Tell us about gates and access when you call.
Throughout Kersal, Abbey Skip Hire delivers midi skips, and permits for skips on the public road come from Salford City Council.

For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
Only when it sits on a public road. A midi skip on a drive in Kersal needs no permit, and most larger homes here have room. For road placements, Salford City Council issues the permit, and we apply on your behalf. The charge is set by each council, so we tell you the amount when you book.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Kersal, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
