Rear extensions, kitchen refits and loft clear outs keep the family homes of Heaton Mersey busy, and many of those projects suit a mid-sized skip. Our midi skip hire Heaton Mersey service brings 4, 5 and 6 yard skips to SK4, covering the streets off Didsbury Road, the roads near Heaton Mersey Common and the border with Heaton Moor. Call at any hour to book, and same day delivery is often possible where we have a slot.
For a loft or garage clear out, the 4 yard midi holds around 40 bin bags. A kitchen strip out in a Didsbury Road semi usually suits the 5 yard, about 50 bags. If the job involves bricks or hardcore, the 6 yard builders skip takes up to 65 bags. We are fully insured, Constructionline approved and ISO 45001 certified.
A midi skip suits Heaton Mersey's semis and family homes, where projects are often too big for a mini but do not need a builders skip. It fits on most drives, so you can usually avoid a permit, and it keeps the waste from a whole room refit in one place. Once it is full, give us a call and we collect, normally within 48 hours.

Many of Heaton Mersey's semis and detached houses off Didsbury Road have front drives that take a 4 or 5 yard midi skip with room to spare, so no permit is needed. These homes often see kitchen and bathroom refits, loft clear outs before conversion and garden work on plots running down towards the Mersey. In the conservation area, older terraces and cottages sit on narrower streets, so a midi may have to go on the road with a Stockport Council permit, which we arrange. Didsbury Road itself is a main route, so we place skips on quieter side roads.
We bring midi skips to homes throughout Heaton Mersey, and any road placement needs a Stockport Council permit, which our team applies for.

0161 724 7252For a midi skip in Heaton Mersey, the price depends on whether you choose 4, 5 or 6 yard, how long you need it and the weight of the waste. Placing it on the road adds a Stockport Council permit fee. Delivery and collection are included, so there is nothing extra to pay for transport. Please ring 0161 724 7252 for a quote.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Heaton Mersey skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
Heaton Mersey drives and private land need no permit for a midi skip. If it must go on the road, Stockport Council has to issue a permit before delivery, and conservation area streets need care. We arrange it for you, and council charges vary.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Heaton Mersey, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
