Period homes in M20 are always being updated, and a lot of that work lands somewhere between a quick tidy and a full renovation. Our midi skip hire Didsbury service suits that middle ground, supplying 4, 5 and 6 yard skips to homes off Palatine Road, Wilmslow Road and School Lane, as well as Parrs Wood and East Didsbury. Orders are taken by phone 24/7, and we can often deliver the same day where possible.
For a kitchen refit in an Edwardian semi, the 5 yard midi, around 50 bin bags, is often right. A loft or garage clear out may only need the 4 yard, about 40 bags. If you are knocking through a wall or building a small rear extension, the 6 yard builders skip takes up to 65 bags. We are fully insured and hold ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Didsbury homeowners get enough room for a proper project from a midi skip, without filling the whole front garden. It holds the waste from a kitchen, bathroom or loft job in one place, keeps the house tidy while trades work and avoids weekend queues at the tip. Once you are done, call us and we collect, normally within 48 hours, with the contents sorted for recycling.

Didsbury's larger Victorian and Edwardian houses, particularly off Palatine Road and around Didsbury Village, are often in the middle of kitchen refits, bathroom upgrades, loft clear outs or garden redesigns. Plenty of them have front drives or gravel areas that will take a 4 or 5 yard midi skip, so no permit is needed. In conservation areas and on narrow streets with no drive, Manchester City Council issues a road permit, and we handle it. Wilmslow Road is a busy bus corridor, so side roads are the better choice. Let us know about gateposts, trees or tight turns before delivery.
Didsbury is part of our regular delivery area for midi skips, and Manchester City Council issues any road permit, which we apply for.

0161 724 7252Several things shape the cost of a midi skip in Didsbury: the size, from 4 to 6 yard, the length of hire and the type of waste, since heavy rubble is treated differently. A road placement also brings a Manchester City Council permit fee. Delivery and collection come with every hire. Phone 0161 724 7252 for a price.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Didsbury skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
If your midi skip fits on the drive or front garden, you need no permit. On a Didsbury road, including in conservation areas, Manchester City Council must grant one before delivery. We make the application, and the council's charge, which varies, is added to your hire.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Didsbury, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
