Fully insured · Licensed waste carrier · Free quote, no obligation
Rear extensions, kitchen refits and garden redesigns are common across Gatley, and a midi skip takes the waste without crowding the drive. Our midi skip hire Gatley service supplies 4, 5 and 6 yard skips to semis, detached houses and village cottages. We reach the village easily from our Bury yard. Order on our 24/7 lines, and we deliver same day where we can, with next day delivery also offered.
A 4 yard midi, around 40 bin bags, is right for a garage or shed. The 5 yard, around 50 bags, takes a kitchen or bathroom strip out. If your garden project involves old paving or some soil, the 6 yard builders skip holds up to 65 bags. We are Constructionline approved and registered as a licensed waste carrier.
Many Gatley homes are being modernised one room at a time, and a midi skip is sized for exactly that. It takes a full kitchen or bathroom refit, a loft clear out or a garden makeover without needing the space of a builders skip. It usually fits on a standard drive, so there is no permit to arrange. We collect promptly once you call.

Gatley's tree lined roads are mostly inter-war semis and detached homes with front drives and long back gardens. Midi skips suit the projects owners take on here: replacing a kitchen, refitting a bathroom, clearing a loft ahead of a conversion or re-landscaping a garden. Near the village centre, older cottages may have little room outside, so a road placement and permit could be needed. Routes towards Cheadle and the airport are busy, so we prefer quieter side roads where possible. Mature trees and low walls can affect skip placement, so mention them when booking.
We deliver midi skips across Gatley for refits, clear outs and garden work, and Stockport Council handles permits for any skip on the road.

0161 956 2044Gatley midi skip prices are set by the skip size, how long you keep it and what goes in. Heavier waste such as soil and hardcore weighs more. A road placement needs a permit, which adds a fee. There is no separate charge for delivery or collection, as both sit within the hire. Call 0161 956 2044 and we will price your job.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Gatley skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
For a midi skip on your Gatley drive, there is no permit to worry about. On the road, Stockport Council must grant a permit first, and we apply for it on your behalf. Council charges vary, so we will let you know the cost and sort everything before your skip arrives.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Gatley, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
