Projects like a new kitchen or a garage clear out produce more waste than a mini can hold, and our midi skip hire Droylsden service is the answer. We bring 4, 5 and 6 yard skips to homes across M43, from Fairfield to Littlemoss and the streets either side of Ashton New Road. Orders are taken by phone 24/7, and same day delivery is often possible. Once you have finished loading, one call arranges collection, usually within 48 hours.
Droylsden semis getting a new kitchen usually need the 4 yard midi, with space for around 40 bin bags. The 5 yard holds around 50 bags, good for a bathroom strip out or a loft clear. For garden work with soil and paving, the 6 yard builders skip takes up to 65 bags. We are ISO 45001 certified for health and safety and fully insured.
A midi skip is the practical middle size for Droylsden refits and clear outs. It takes the bulky waste from a kitchen, bathroom or shed without the footprint of a builders skip, which matters on streets where parking is tight. You load at your own pace across the hire period, and we take everything to the transfer station for sorting and recycling.

Droylsden's housing ranges from Victorian terraces in the older centre to inter-war and post-war semis further out towards Littlemoss and Audenshaw. Semis with drives can usually take a 4 or 5 yard midi off the road, so no permit is needed. Terraced homes rarely have the space, and a Tameside Council permit is required for road placement. Streets close to Ashton New Road have trams and buses passing, so we plan the drop carefully. Typical midi jobs include kitchen and bathroom refits, garden landscaping with some rubble, and clearing a garage or loft before a move.
We regularly bring midi skips to refits and clear outs across Droylsden and M43, with Tameside Council issuing permits for roadside skips.

0161 724 7252Several things set the price of a midi skip in Droylsden: the size, from 4 to 6 yard, the number of days you keep it and the type of waste. Heavy rubble and soil can change the price. Road placement means a Tameside Council permit fee on top. We include delivery and collection in every midi hire. Call 0161 724 7252 for a quote.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Droylsdon skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
You only need a permit if the midi skip goes on the road. Droylsden falls under Tameside Council, which issues permits for roadside skips, and Abbey applies for one when you order. If the skip fits on your driveway, there is no permit. Charges vary by council, and we confirm the cost upfront.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Droylsdon, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
