Fitting out a new home or reworking an older one often creates more waste than a mini skip can take. Our midi skip hire Carrington service supplies 4, 5 and 6 yard skips across M31 for garage fit outs, garden landscaping, kitchen updates and loft clear outs. Small trade customers on local business sites use them too. Phone orders are open 24 hours a day, and we often deliver same day where we can.
A 4 yard skip, around 40 bin bags, handles a full garage clear out. The 5 yard suits a kitchen swap or patio replacement on a new-build plot. When a garden project throws up soil, slabs and broken concrete, the 6 yard builders skip takes up to 65 bags. We hold ISO 14001 for environmental management, and waste is sorted for recycling at our transfer station.
Carrington homeowners get enough room for a proper project from a midi skip, while it still fits on a standard drive. It takes heavier waste such as broken slabs and soil from landscaping, which a car boot cannot manage. That makes it a practical choice for new-build gardens that arrive as bare ground. You also have one tidy place for all the rubbish while the work goes on.

Many new homes in Carrington are handed over with basic gardens, so landscaping is one of the most common midi skip jobs: lifting turf, laying patios and clearing subsoil. Garage conversions, kitchen upgrades and loft boarding projects follow once people settle in. Older homes in the village see bathroom and kitchen refits too. Small businesses on the industrial sites also hire midi skips for clearing stores and offices. Main roads around Carrington carry heavy goods vehicles, so we plan deliveries for safe access. A drive is the simplest spot for the skip; on a public road, Trafford Council will need to issue a permit.
We bring midi skips to homes and business units all over Carrington, with Trafford Council responsible for permits on any public road.

0161 724 7252Several things shape the price of a midi skip in Carrington: whether you need a 4, 5 or 6 yard skip, how heavy the waste is and how long the hire lasts. Soil and hardcore from garden work weigh more than general rubbish. A Trafford road permit adds to the total if needed. The hire price covers delivery and collection. For a quote, ring 0161 724 7252.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Carrington skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
Carrington midi skips placed on a drive or private yard do not need a permit. A skip on the public road does, and Trafford Council is the authority that grants it. We handle the paperwork for you. Permit charges vary between councils, so we check the current Trafford fee and include it in your quote.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Carrington, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
