Simister cottages and family homes often choose a mini or midi for refits and garden work. Abbey is Constructionline approved and holds ISO 9001 certification.

Simister sits on the edge of Prestwich, and its cottages, farmhouses and post-war homes mostly have drives or yards. That means skips of most sizes can go on private land without a permit. Farms with space and firm ground can take large skips or a RORO for barn clearances. Narrow lanes with few pavements limit road placement, so we check access before delivery. Wait and load suits short jobs where a skip cannot stay. Approach roads near the M60 junction carry heavy traffic at peak times, so tell us if you need an early or late drop.
Simister homes and farms can hire every skip size from our nearby Bury yard, and Bury Council issues any road permit the job requires.

0161 724 7252Your Simister skip quote depends on the size, the hire length, the waste type and where the skip goes. Farm and barn clearances may need a large skip or RORO, quoted on the job. Most village properties avoid permit fees, though a skip on the road brings a Bury Council charge. Ring 0161 724 7252 for a price.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Simister skip hire.
Mini skips (2 and 3 yard) suit garden and household waste. Midi skips (4 to 6 yard) suit kitchen and bathroom refits and clear outs. For soil, brick and hardcore choose the 8 yard builders skip, and for bulky, lighter waste from big clearances a 10 to 16 yard maxi skip. Tell us the job and we will recommend the right size.
Simister skips usually go on drives, yards or farmland, where no permit is needed. A skip on the public road or lane does need one, and Bury Council issues it. We handle the application when you book. Permit charges vary with the council's rates.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Simister, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
