Kitchen refits, loft conversions and garden rebuilds are everyday work on Bredbury's family estates, and a midi skip is usually the right size. Our midi skip hire Bredbury service brings 4, 5 and 6 yard skips to homes across SK6, from the streets off Stockport Road West out to Woodley and Bredbury Green. The 4 and 5 yard sizes sit on most drives here without fuss. Call 24/7 to book, and we can often deliver the same day where we have space.
Popular for a kitchen swap in a Bredbury semi, the 4 yard holds around 40 bin bags. Go for the 5 yard, about 50 bags, when a bathroom refit brings tiles and rubble. The 6 yard builders skip, up to 65 bags, handles a combined garage and loft clear out. We are licensed with the Environment Agency and Constructionline approved.
Bredbury households doing a proper project usually find a mini too small and a maxi more than they need. A midi skip handles a whole kitchen, a dismantled shed or several weekends of garden work in one hire. It still sits on a standard drive, so there is often no permit to worry about, and you can load it at your own pace.

Bredbury is full of family homes that are being extended and updated, and that work produces exactly the volume a midi holds. Semis near Bredbury Green and the estates towards Woodley tend to have drives long enough for a 4 or 5 yard. The 6 yard builders skip is larger, at 10ft by 6ft, so check your drive before choosing it. Small extensions, garage conversions and patio replacements are common jobs. If the skip must go on the street, Stockport Council issues the permit and we handle the application. Stockport Road West is busy, so we place skips on side roads instead.
Abbey supplies 4, 5 and 6 yard midi skips throughout Bredbury, Woodley and Romiley, and road permits are obtained from Stockport Council for you.

0161 956 2044Midi skip hire in Bredbury is priced by size, hire length and waste type. Rubble and soil from a patio dig weigh far more than kitchen units, which affects disposal costs. If the skip goes on a road, the Stockport permit fee is added, but a driveway avoids it. The price covers delivery and collection. For a firm figure, phone 0161 956 2044.
That depends on a number of factors, such as the size you require, how long you need it for, and the location and position that the skip will be delivered to. Contact us and get an accurate price quote for your Bredbury skip hire.
For a bathroom refit or a shed clear out, a 4 yard midi skip is usually enough. Go up to the 5 yard for kitchens and fuller loft clear outs, and choose the 6 yard builders skip if the job includes soil, brick or rubble. Tell us what the job is and we will recommend the right size.
A permit is only needed if your midi skip goes on the public highway. Stockport Council handles these for Bredbury, and we make the application as part of the order. Charges vary from council to council. Put the skip on your drive or other private land and no permit is required.
Different councils charge different amounts but it generally costs between £30 and £50 for a permit to place a skip on a road. We confirm the current charge when you book.
This is of course entirely up to you, but the normal hire duration is between 1 and 14 days. If your skip is on the road you will need to check the length covered by your permit.
Bricks, hard core, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, furniture, furnishing, fixtures and non-electrical fittings, wood, metal and plastic. We cannot take asbestos, electricals, fridges, tyres, paint, gas bottles, batteries or liquids.
Call us to let us know you have finished with the skip. A driver will then come to collect, usually within 48 hours. The skip is then taken to our waste transfer station where it will be processed for recycling.
We will advise you on the cost to hire a skip, depending on where you require the skip delivery in Bredbury, what you plan to put in the skip, and how long you wish to have the skip for.
